Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a horror/action thriller based on a novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. It tells the (obviously) fictitious story of the days before Abraham Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) became president and secretly dispatched an army of vampires. Coming from Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, whose previous movies Night Watch, Day Watch, and Wanted were R-rated and very violent, Abraham Lincoln looks to be fairly bloody as well, with far more fighting and weapons than historical facts.

The film explores the secret life of our greatest president and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war - and ultimately to the presidency - he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.
